After over a year of the K53 Simulator launch, I am finally purchasing a game controller (or joystick) for a more nuanced testing. Until now, I have for the most part tested the PC version of the K53 Simulator using a keyboard. Well, while a keyboard works, any keen learner driver should soon realise that more sensitivity control (not natively supported by PC keyboard) becomes necessary, especial for Primary Vehicle Controls such as the steering wheel, accelerator, brake and clutch pedals. Whether one is meaning to steer a round those sharp corners or to bring their vehicle to halt without locking the brakes.

On the mobile version, a very efficient gradual input system was already in pace for both the steering wheel, clutch, brake and accelerator pedals. Which resonate very well with our realistic driving system that already gear to support the input type.

Thankfully, I find this very complementary peripheral to be also offered at a very affordable price. One that can easily be justified – especially in view of the ultimate personal skill (K53 driving) value the controller is expected to add. I intend to thoroughly test one relatively cheap model that I can then widely recommend for use with the K53 Simulator for learner drivers that runs it on a PC.

P.S: This Takealot controller proves to be worthy and cheap.
